It’s a six-minute walk into the charming town centre for meals on the waterfront, just remember it’s a steep walk back up the hill. But the views are worth it – gaze out over the rooftops and shimmering sea from the sprawling terrace. It’s all about dining, reclining and unwinding in the pool or hot tub out here. Two kitchens (one indoors and one covered outdoors) will keep the chef of the group happy and sliding open the glass doors blends the terrace with the huge, open living room.

Walking you can quickly reach the city center, but via three long flights of stairs. Everything is also easily accessible by car.

As almost all the other reviews will testify, this is truly an amazing place to stay. The view and location are second to none. It is a short-ish walk into town (around 10 mins max) via steps cut into the mountainside. The return journey would be challenging for those not completely mobile. Cabs to the villa to and from town are very expensive. In fact cabs up and from anywhere in this art of Italy are very expensive. It is an upmarket coastal town with a high-end clientele. A special thanks to Celia, the housekeeper, who was simply delightful.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa with our family. The house was as described - absolutely stunning setting and a perfect location. We hope to return!
The pool was fantastic. The views were amazing. I will say it is very difficult to get around in and out of the area with taxis and walking up and down The trails to the city center. It is fine if you are very able-bodied. However, my parents who are in their 70s we had to get a taxi both down and back which definitely caused a little bit of commotion. Everyone else did totally great going up and down into the city. It is about a mile downhill (or a mile up on the way back). The actual house was amazing and majestic! A wonderful trip over all (we stayed 5 days)
The villa was perfect for our family. The house is amazing, the area is beautiful, and our host was super-helpful. The indoor/outdoor areas were exactly as described, and our host’s recommendations were very useful.

Responsive host. Excellent location in Santa Margherita. Easy access / less than ten min walk to main town square with great shops and restaurants. We stayed 5 nights and loved the location and views. This is nit-picky, but the house is somewhat outdated, and a lot of unnecessary clutter on the kitchen counters, etc.
